Cold winter weather got you down? Ready for some summer fun? Bring your kids and grandkids and enjoy some beach activities brought inside like Nature’s Treasure Chest, Beach Bingo, and Wrack Attack. Make a pair of “binoculars” and watch the nesting Osprey. Hunt for shells. Examine cool whale bones and baleen, then, take a break on a beach blanket and listen to a story together. And, it’s all free thanks to the Goldenrod Foundation’s Beach Ambassadors.
This event is perfect for children, ages 4-12, and their parents or grandparents. It’s also a good opportunity for anyone who might like to become a Beach Ambassador* to see the program in action and talk to current volunteers.
*Volunteers who train in the spring, then, work on Plymouth’s beaches in the summer, sharing their love of nature with visitors.
